From 8 April 2014, Microsoft is ending all support for the platform, which will mean no more security patches or software upgrades unless firms pay for custom IT support. This has the potential to leave businesses open to attack on out-of-date and unmonitored systems.
If you are still running Windows XP or Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 then it is imperative that you begin planning your upgrades now. It is also likely if your business has outdated hardware and will be unable to install Windows 2012, Microsoft Small Business Server 2011, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
